Risk disclosure
Trading in derivatives (futures and options) carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than you expect, quickly.
- According to a SEBI study (January 2023), 9 out of 10 individual traders in the equity F&O segment incurred net losses. Loss-makers lost ₹50,000 on average, and transaction costs added a further 28% to their losses.
- Automated order handling — stops, targets and trailing exits managed by your engine — acts quickly and on its own. A wrong setting, a data error or an outage at the broker or exchange can cause losses before you notice.
- Back-tests and the simulator describe the past or an idealised model. They do not predict future results and can overstate what live trading would have earned.
- Stops resting at the exchange reduce, but do not remove, risk: prices can gap through a stop, and limit orders may not fill in fast markets.
- Quants Brain is trading software. It is not a stock broker, investment adviser or research analyst, and nothing it shows is a recommendation to buy or sell.
Privacy notice
We keep the minimum needed to run your account and your engine, under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we store
- Account: your name, email, role, preferences and when you signed up and last signed in.
- Sign-in security: your passkeys’ public keys (never private keys), your authenticator secret and broker API keys sealed with AES-256-GCM, and one-way hashes of recovery codes, sessions and sign-in codes.
- Devices: for each signed-in session, the browser and operating system and the IP address, so you can recognise and sign out devices.
- Audit trail: sign-ins, security changes, broker connections, admin actions and every order and setting change on your engine, with the IP address that made them.
- Access requests: what you enter in the request form.
What we never store
- Your broker password, MPIN or TOTP code. They pass straight through to your broker when you log in each morning.
Your rights
You can download everything held about your account at any time (Account → Your data), correct your name, and ask us to erase your account. Audit records of orders may be kept for as long as the law requires.
Terms of use
- Eligibility. Quants Brain is invite-only. You must be an adult Indian resident with your own broker account and API access.
- Your decisions. You place every order yourself, in the simulator or live, and set the stops, targets and limits that apply. You are responsible for every order your engine sends on your instructions.
- Your broker. Orders are placed with your broker under your own account and API app. Their terms, charges and risk controls apply.
- Safety controls. Live trading needs a second factor and a fresh confirmation. The platform may close positions or lock new orders on your engine to protect you or the platform, including through the emergency stop.
- Availability. We work to keep engines running, but outages at our hosting provider, your broker, exchanges or data sources can happen. Keep your broker’s app available to manage positions directly.
- Security. Keep your passkeys, authenticator and recovery codes to yourself. Tell us at once if you think your account has been used without you.
- No advice. Nothing on the platform is investment advice. Signals are graded by their own back-tests and can be wrong.
